Congratulations to our new Club CATS Leader - Coach Eric Mills!

Coach Eric "has been the heartbeat and leader" for our U8 Blue teams.

Coaches say:
"Eric has been the heartbeat and leader of our U8 Blue level teams and coaching staffs. Throughout the year, he has gone above and beyond for all of us coaches and especially our U8 Blue skaters.

Eric has made sure to set up and distribute solid practice plans on time, week in and week out, to us coaches throughout the association. He has taken charge of leading each of our U8 Blue practices on the ice, he ALWAYS shows up on time for our kids despite having other obligations like the rest of us, and he consistently provides thoughtful instruction and drills for our skaters.

Most importantly, Eric demonstrates patience, a great attitude, and is a solid role model for all our young skaters here at the rink. Eric is a huge asset to Verona Youth Hockey, and we are fortunate to have him leading. He deserves to be recognized!."

Congratulations to our new Club CATS Leader - Coach Aubrey Freeman!

Coach Aubrey goes above and beyond to help current, future, and ad hoc goalies in our club.

Coaches say:
"As a goalie, Aubrey brings a wealth of knowledge to our club. Outside of acting as our U6 ALD and coaching his son's team, Aubrey regularly goes to the Goalie Dojo to help others learn this difficult role.

Aubrey's above-and-beyond approach doesn't stop there. Last year, he came to several of our Squirt C1 practices to work with two kids who were passing the bag. This year, our Pee Wee C1 team found itself without a goalie for an important game, so a player volunteered to fill in. Aubrey personally worked with him at two Dojos and came to two of our practices to help him even more. His above-and-beyond work paid off as we were able to get this win!

Aubrey's patient way of coaching works for every level of our club. He is now heading up our Goalie Committee so we can figure out how to develop this important position even more! We are lucky to have him for hopefully several years to come."
