These Mavericks were quick to accommodate and teach a young player.

Parents say:
"My son is a first-year hockey player for one of the 8U teams. We went to go shoot in the corner of the Verona rink after practice and three of the Mavs girls were there, and they were so accommodating! 

They shared a puck and practiced their passing drills in a spot that made it super easy for my son to play around. My son wanted to work on slapshots and, as a non-hockey playing dad, I wasn't sure of puck placement, backswing, or follow through.

Fortunately, the girls were there to kindly, confidently, and expertly describe every aspect to him in a way that was worthy of a YouTube video.

Another dad was there and we both coach other sports. We were both very impressed by these young athletes and mentors to less experienced hockey players!"
